i was getting the same problem on my 2003 dt i removed the switch in the speedo and it was still the same it turned out to be the alarm unit which is about as big as a ciggy box, this was on top of the snorkle under the seat and at 6k rpm it was getting starved of air. i deristricted the bike and cut off the snorkle and couldnt believe the difference it flys now. 9 times out of 10 you dont need to mess with the power valve you will just mess it up. G anyone got a rear dep pipe for sale?

on the weekend im going to change the fork seals on my dt125r, im ok doing the change(droping the forks etc) but im not sure how much oil ive got to put in or how i put the oil in, could someone tell me please. thanks gypo

All sorted noww ppl, believe it or not it was the alarm unit. this was sitting under the seat on the snorkle from the air filter and choking it. whilst looking for the fault i derestricted the bike using info from here,, dtr125.co.uk exellent place for info and they also have a few good vids. G O yeah it goes like feck now!!

so far ive cleaned the pipe out, and cut it and removed the restricter but its still missing at 6krpm or when you twist the throttle right back but only when your riding it? its driving me nuts now, does anybody have any ideas, ive also changed the plug? cheers G

First off hello all, been viewing the forum for a while but only just got round to registering. i just bought a 03 plate dt125r, i took it out today and was lucky to get 50mph out of it! when you get to 6000rpm its missing like a pig and holding back? ive changed the plug and cleaned out the air filter. looking at all the muck that is on the end of the exhaust and that was on the old plug id say its running too rich but how do i solve this please? cheers G p.s nice forum by the way
