  1. I do think that everybody should fight the system when things like this happens, it is a scandle that they seem to think they can do what ever they want, they are picking on innocent kids who do everything by the book, get the cbt, licence, tax mot and insurance, then they get hassled even more, fair enough target uninsured drivers, but ones that are legal?? now i said to the coppers, if somone who was generally ilegal was attempted to be stopped, the rider would just ride off, so then a police chase would ensue, then the police helicopter would be called out, this would go on for a hour or so, at a cost of god knows how much, then if the police does catch the rider, he would get a night in the cells, a cooked breakfast in the morning, then get taken to court if hes lucky, then what happens he says to the magistrate he hasnt got a job and then basically gets let off! the copper just shrugged his shoulders!! and then what about the drug dealers??? also sitting on the dual carrige ways with their speed cameras and ticketing everybody who does 75mph on a fast straight safe road where there are minmal risks, but do you see them outside the schools where speeding is more dangerous??? god now ive started lol
  2. I know what your saying and by god i wish I was there, cos i would of said the same, I also said to the traffic cop (who was driving a brand new unmarked golf R32) what gives them the right to make her drive to the police station if they suspected that she didnt have a driving licence to ride her ped, and his reply was, if we suspect a vehicle being over weight, they have the power to make the driver to drive to a weigh bridge and weigh the vehicle! which is a fair point! they knew she had insurance, tax mot and a licence, but that wasnt what they were looking for!
  3. the only paperwork she was given was a print out from the dyno machine stating the top speed, and a seizure notice, nothing else. The dyno is a dynostar 2SP which is a dutch machine which is portable machine, it is not owned by sussex police but is owned by hampshire police
  4. The fine is for having a machine that rider isnt able to ride, ie my daughter is 16 and has a provisinal licence with a CBT, They did also threaten 3 points and £60 fine but decided to be 'kind' as she hasnt been done for it before and would 'teach her lession' but the £150 was to recover the vehicle from a compound, but when I said at the time in the police station that I would ride it away, they said I could but still had to pay £150 even though the ped hadnt even been on the back of recovery wagen! The police station doesnt have their own dyno machine, the police force is sussex police and the dyno machine and the polieman operator came from hampshire police! When I picked up her ped, I asked how many peds they had in, and last night they had nine peds! that a good nights work at £1350, Im sure at this rate they will have enough money to buy their own dyno
  5. Hi dirtyDT yes cheers for the links, but the pepipoo one is actually the one I started regaurding this subject, I am not happy with the police and their robbing ways, I just need to put her ped back to standard so if it happens again, it wont cost me £150! I am gonna fight this as I am convinced they cannot do this legaly.
  6. Hi this is proberly a strange request! But how do you restrict a 04 Aerox 50cc? The reason I ask is because my daughter was stopped by the police last night and the got her to ride to the police station where they put her moped on a dyno to measure its top speed and it dregistered 41mph on their machine and seized her moped at a cost of £150 release fee Now I'm not happy so I need to restrict her machine in accordance to the manufacturers spec so they cant rob more money out me.
