Found a nice little Virago Bobber
G'day All, The other day I was bored out of my brains and decided to surf the web. I cam across a facebook page for a company here in Perth that customises japanese cruisers. Anyway, they did a little XV250 Virago! I emailed them about it and they said they do sell parts for the Virago. They are putting together a bobber kit for the XV250. This bike was built for the owner's wife who is on her learner's licence. They also said it was built as a project that most people could do with some basic tool. Check em' out http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=156924&id=308488526805 There website is www.badpennycustoms.com.au

Newbie - 1995 - XV250s(L) Virago
If your a bit mechanically minded you could pull the shocks apart, get the springs sandblasted and then powdercoat them or rechrome them. The shocks themselves can only be worked on by hand with some sort of abrasive metal polish (not too abrasive). Tyres should be changed as they would have decayed quite considerably and when it comes to your own health and safety, it's not worth risking it. With the cables you could go for some universal ones such as is available from Barnetts. You just have to know the cable length, what type of connectors etc. The other option would be to contact a custom bike shop that is local to you and talk to them. If you are just after looks then I'd suggest getting some steel braided sleeves that would go over your rubber hoses. Gives the same look but a lot cheaper. as to the L? Buggered if I know. Sorry mate.

You might want to try www.badpennycustoms.com.au they do metric bikes and if they don't have it they should at least point you in the right direction.

Hi guys n gals. can you help XV 535 Virago knock
Have you checked your oil? If the bike has been sitting for a while it may not be lubricating properly or have enough to do so correctly. Worst case is you that you could have a valve problem.

yamaha xs 750 special us custom
They should generally be the same bike. There may be some minor differences due to vehicle regulations in different countries, but on the whole they would be pretty much identical.

That will never happen. It makes too much sense and it's too much of a good idea.

XVS1100 Widest Tyre?
G'day all. Just joined the forum as the wife has a little XV250 Virago. I'm going to be turning it into a Bobber for her. A mate has a 1999 XVS 1100 and was wondering what is the widest tyre/rim size he can go (as he is looking at custom wheels) without modification or with modification (what are the mods required)?? Cheers.
