  1. $400!?!?!? I would buy it in a heart beat!!!!!
  2. Just chenged tires and the old tire did not have a tube so we did not get a new one, the guy at the Yamaha ship says the spoke rims need tubes but my mag rims do not need tubes
  3. I have 2 pretty much new ones (used for maybe 5 miles, I went to pod filters) I would sell you for $60 shipped, let me know.
  4. I used carb cleaner and sprayed all over the head (near the spark plug area) and the engine died but did not rev up just died. Manifolds are good, I did a cyl leakdown test @ 80 psi both on a hot and cold motor and heard nothing coming out....
  5. Yep, pilot screws are good to go...
  6. Here are all the issues I am having - The right cylinders exhaust pipe runs about 60 deg HOTTER than the left at all times - The right cylinder missfires at idle (ONLY after its fully warmed up, it idles perfect when I first start it up untill about 10-15 mins later) - I have it idling at 1500 and sometimes it dies at that (again only after its warmed up) Carbs have been FULLY dissembled and cleaned TWO times now. , new plugs are in. Any ideas? I have messed with the lean/richen screws but had no luck, timing is good, I had it idling perfect for about a week and this popped up, also did a cylinder leakdown test thinking maybe it was a head gasket but that all checked good.
  7. Ok, I have the mag wheels (I think, they are not spoke rims) so I will check when I pull it off, I am having a tire shop change and balance it for me so if it needs a tube I will just get one from there. I knew that back tire looked too small to begin with , thanks for the help!
  8. Guys, I am about to order the correct size tires and need to know if I will need a new inner tube to go from a 90 to a 110 tire?? I dont even know if I have tubes or not, the actual tires say "tubeless" on them so I am assuming that I dont have/need tubes. My Haynes manual says my front AND rear tires should be 3.50 X 18 so the closest to that is the 110/90/18 tire. I just ordered a new one off ebay for the back for $60 shipped. I think I am going to keep the 90 on the front as some websites that list the "specs" for these bikes has the front as a 3.00 inch which is a "90" size tire for the front. Drewpy what size tire do you have on the front?
  9. Pressures are 28 frt and 32 rear.
  10. Now it all makes sense. My RPMS at 70 MPH are at 6700.
  11. Both my front and rear are 90/90/18

Place it on your center stand and you will only lose a few drops if any.
  13. Size or brand? 90 in the frt and back
  14. What I should have said is that at speeds above 70ish I start to get steering shimmy.
  15. A 90 size tire in the back is not safe at 65 MPH

Just unscrewed mine out today for cleaning and put them back in, I turned the carbs upside down when loose and they fell out.
  21. For a xs400, I need all new internal parts/jets, etc (minus the actual floats) for a 78'. Also I set my floats to 32mm but I am hearing 26mm?? It seems to be running ok now......
