  1. As the title says, as for the stock air filters are there replacements out there for sale? or any other options other than pod filters. I purchased some and couldnt mount them correctly. Any input is greatly appreciated

    it was the cap that came off of the wire itself, i pushed it back on and it seemed to work, but it was starting to show some corrosion so i was hoping there were replacements.

    One of my spark plug wires came apart yesterday when i was working on my bike, are they replaceable? if so where can i find some, or what type do i need? thanks guys

  6. so its alright if it has a small crack in it? it wont hurt anything?
  7. my inexperience with these bikes is going to show here, this isnt a picture of my bike but on mine this cover is cracked, and the screw is stripped out. If i dont have to mess with it i dont want to, but if it is cruicial i will take the time to get it fixed. thanks heres a picture of what im talking about

    no it stays up around 6k, i havent left it idle for any period of time that high because that didnt sound right to me.

    well i guess if anyone has removed their airbox from their bike did you have to rejet the carbs? also im wondering if this has something to do with the high-revving when i start the bike on full choke? Anyone have any ideas?

    Ill start off by saying hi to everyone and thanking in advance for the help. I just purchased my first motorcycle which is a 1980 xs400, its missing a seat and the airboxes, but i got a good deal on it so i bought it. Instead of buying airboxes and air filters could i just buy a cone air filter and hose clamp it on the back of the carbs? if so what size should i buy?
