  1. hehehe you know the things on mountain bikes that pull the cable
  2. Yep get a new exhaust, have a bike gear thingy so you can manually open the powervalve, (or fix tzr elecrric one), add some carbon reeds and bigger jets and away you go
  3. Hey just found my printout from my old supra when it was rollered, i did get a better power run the second time, after i found out the intercooler was leaking. Post your mates one as this will show us, as he must of had his car rollered or he wouldnt know the power output, also you cant cheat one, as you will know being a car mechanic, bhp is a calculation of torque times rpm divided by 5252. So you can see if someone has messed with the graph
  4. Hahaha was that you at work in the van? Yeah i agree mate supras arnt all that, but bloody thirsty hence why i sold it, 12-16gallan  Show us some pics of the engine then we can see if it has a supercharger and turbo, also we will be able to see the manifolds which will show if it has them both. We can also see if it has the standard gearbox as they standard gearbox on redline is only 160mph, we may also be able to see the injectors and fuel pump of course to get 500bhp you couldnt do that on standard fueling. I could go on all day about this as like i said my mate spent serious money on his and still was not as quick as my supra which didnt do 180mph and was a bigger engine, more capable box, and bigger turbo.... To be honest mate i really dont even believe its supercharged, as the turbo comes off the manifold, a supercharger would have to mechanically dricven off something ie the end of crank, etc and where the hell is there room for one in a sunny... Please post some pics and prove me wrong
  5. With some trick work to the manifold and an electric wastegate is possible as ive seen it on a drag car, but how the hell you would fit both in a nissan sunny engine compartment
  6. Mozzy mate im not picking on you, but your mate is lying. i know exactly what has to be done to cars to get that kind of speed your talking about your talking Ferrari and 911 Turbo speed, out of a 2 litre. Thats 237 bhp per litre thats the same as motogp bike which has had millions spent on development. Formula one cars (3ltr) are about 300 bhp / litre and they rev up to 18k!! A Ferrari Enzo (6ltr) is only 110bhp per litre so if your telling me that he can get 237 bhp per litre on such a small engine he would be working for a f1 race team. How does you mate think he can do 178mph, was it by the clock, or by a dyno. As these would be the only way it was capable of it mate.
  7. Yeah they cant go that fast, i know as my mate had one and spent a lot of money to try and keep up with my supra  the max possible speed on standard wheels at 7.5k Max rmp due to rev limiter is about 160mph so even with 17" wheels would only be about 2-3mph more. Even if you done some serious internal engine modifications to add another 1000rpm 8.5k you would still be struggling to reach 175, and of course you would need some serious power because of the drivetrain loss on a 4x4 and to overcome air resistance to reach the redline.
  8. 178mph Like bollox tell your mate
  9. Try pressing the caps lock, its the third key up from the bottom left hand corner of your keyboard
  10. PMSL How the hell do you reach the bars

    YZF-750R

Well i have phoned up about 20 breakers today and only one has a frame and they want £500  Its going to take a while before i start riding again
  13. Elbow Down  Looks like hes really trying though
  14. There is no comparison between a car and a bike, the speed in which a bike accelerates compared to a car is unbelievable  I used to have a supra turbo which had intercooler, actuator, bigger turbo and ran 20psi and that was fecking quick and was probably only nearly as fast as my YZF mid to top, but i raced my uncle on his blackbird and the bike was out of site before i got to 70!
  15. Got it sorted yet mate
  16. Glad you got it sorted mate 8)
  17. Heres an extract i think it does sound pretty postitive overall though; MCN's Trevor Franklin has spent the day testing Yamaha's new naked FZ6 and we got his first impressions as he stepped off the bike. "The FZ6 is one of the few bikes that just feels right as soon as you get on it. With a lot of sports bikes it takes you a while to get into the feel of it, but with the FZ6 everything feels good from the word go. In that respect it is similar to Honda's Hornet 600 but the Yamaha just pulls it off much better." The FZ6 captures the best of both worlds with enough power to make it fun but a smooth enough delivery to make it practical around town. Franklin continued: "It's the kind of bike that makes you want to use the whole rev range. The top end is tighter and crisper than the old Fazer and it really screams all the way to the 14,000rpm limit. It is a little fluffy in the lower revs though." The handling was the thing that Franklin found most impressive: "The stock set-up is excellent, with a good balance between comfort and a firm ride. The ride is very stable and it rolls into corners rather than dropping in suddenly." The only real downside he could find was the brakes: "They're just a step back in time. The old bike had Yamaha R1-derived calipers but the FZ6 has got simple two-pot affairs that just aren't very good at slowing you down. And they get worse in the wet."
