  1. i just had a look at the clutch and it is slipping and the metalic noise seems to be the plates moving slightly, but i found that there is oil leaking fron the side the front sprocket is on... i think it is coming from the pin that engages/disengages the clutch.... im in over my head but seriously cant aford to get it fixed by a mechanic. and its my only mode of transport :-(
  2. i changed the chain after this happened and the shaft the front sprocket attaches to was fine and had no play cheers though i will check it over tomorow
  3. i was rideing back home from work today and my chain snapped taking out indicator, chain guard, and numberplate with it. i pushed it home as it was about a mile and a half from my house, when i got back i replaced the chain and sprockets, i thaught it was all over started the bike put it in gear and nothing! it dont move there is a metalic noise coming from the gearbox (i think) its louder and more metalic when i take the oil cap out... can someone tell me what is wrong and if its hard and expensive to repair as its my only mode of transport cheers jake

i took a look at my bike today and it turns out that there was a kink in the fuel line so i sorted that out n went on a test ride and it feels like a different bike it runs awsome now cheers for the advice jake
  5. im sorted for the welding side as im a specialist welder anyway :-) was more worried about the bike being too wide or long to take the fairings
  6. i have a 98 thundercat and i was wondering if it was in anyway possible to fit r6 fairings to it as i would like to have dual headlights i no this may sound strange to fome of you but its just the look that i prefer i dont mind doing small modifications to the fairings or making up new brackets i was just wondering if it could be done cheers jake

i have a 1998 thundercat and for some reason it keeps dyeing. this only happens when im going down the motorway or dual carraigeway from 70mph upwards, i still have electrics but if i pull back the throttle it splutters and dies more, if i pull in the clutch it dies completely, i pull over and try to start it... occasionally it will start with choke but most of the time it does not, if i leave it for a little while i can get back on n start it (not easily) and it will run fine for around 4 miles. i had the problem about 2 months ago so i changed the oil, spark plugs and got the carbs balanced, this seemed to cure the problem but now it is back and its 100 times worse.. the only thing i can think it could be now is the coil??! any suggestions as its nearly un rideable cheers jake
