Hi. I have a 98 SR125. It goes OK and doesn't use oil, but it seems quite rattly compared to a modern YBR125 I rode recently. I have checked the cam chain for tension and both valves for clearance, so these aspects are fine. Can anyone comment - is it just rattly because it's an older bike? Thank you,.
  2. Hi. I have some sort of rattle during engine braking, when I'm changing down the gears to approach a junction. I thought it might be the chain, but the chain is at the correct tension, as indicated by the 'window' in the chain guard. Bike has 8k miles only. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?
  3. Thanks, Jim, much appreciated. I will try this at weekend. Bob

Does anyone know what sort of mark identifies TDC on a 98 SR125, please? I have removed the two round covers from the left side of the crankcase and I can rotate the rotor. There's no 'T' obvious on the rim of the rotor, as described in the Haynes manual, only something more like 'H-'. I need to find TDC to check the valve clearances. Any advice welcome.
  5. Fowlers very able to supply and I was very impressed with their service. Thank you for the recommendations.
  6. Thank you. I will try these suppliers.
  7. Thanks for the tip, drewpy, but that supplier can't help.

The fork dust seals on my 98 SR125 are cracked, probably from exposure to UV. I have tried various bike shops and online, but no-one can supply replacement dust seals. Does anyone know of a supplier or of some compatible dust seals? Is there some other solution, like fitting gaitors? Thank you.
