I have seen the BMF listed on the online Quote tool too, what does it entail to become a member?

I haven't spoken to them yet, but on the online quote tool it has the alpha dot mentioned, so i hope it will save me a few quid.

Guilty, although atm i'm down to only 3, for now.
  8. Welcome Chris, . I think you are in the minority with the reasons behind why you joined, so this thread isn't really aimed at people like yourself Nice choice of midlife crisis btw. Don't be worried about getting stuck in with the advice/helping, a second opinion is always good. Vez.
  9. I was bored waiting for the glue on my worktops to dry EDIT

I think its something to do with the software used for managing the website/forums. I think Alex has forgot to delete it. Nothing to worry about. Vez

Been looking into different security products to reduce my insurance and came across this alpha-dot stuff http://www.alpha-dot.co.uk/ . I was wondering what you guys/gals thought about it? Is it worth it? does it lower your insurance ? general points/opinions? any other products i can look into? Vez
  15. Well you don't just right out call it a "one post wonder section", you name it something like "newbies" or " General bike problems". The link in the sig is a good idea. i think i'm going to put a link to the 2-stroke gathering in mine

    Welcome to the Forums Andre
  17. Have you considered yoga? Ill get my coat...
  18. Had another thought, why not make a section just for the one post wonders and those after a quick fix. Then those of us who want to help can, and those of us who don't can ignore them even easier?
  19. The drain hole is not just for rain water to escape the exhaust, but to let condensation build up escape that accumulates when riding on cold days. IT is not a good idea to weld/block it up as the exhaust may 'fill up' with water over time. Check its not a drain hole first before welding it shut. There is sometimes a little rust around drain holes as water escapes from there, nothing to worry about though. Vez.
  20. nice one, you just made my morning
  21. You never know, fix it and find out . Edit, just realized what a muffler is, probably not the cause, but still needs fixing Edit 2, is it a rust hole? if so may be worth inspecting the full exhaust and taking Pete's advice about cleaning it out.
  22. *puts camera away
  23. Yup, a few more would be nice, who can we target for some persuasion

  25. You need to wire everything in the list in my previous post, most of the components listed have wires and connector blocks attached to them. So that is no wiring loom, but you will need wires, unless you know something i don't. A DTR without any electrics at all is nothing more than a push bike without the pedals. I'm not blessed with lots of patience, so please read the post again, thoroughly. Vez. EDIT: i don't mean to come across harshly, apologies if it seems that way. Your problem isn't straight forward or as easy as it would be if the bike was in front of me and i could see what you had done to the wires.
