Cat removal DT125RE, well kind of.
Cheers mate. The heat gun worked a treat. Heated the silencer up till it was warming the front room and left it to cool overnight. Bad bit is, tried the front pipe for size this morning and the end part that connects to the silencer doesn't sit in the right place. Now that can be one of three things, either the welder got it wrong, which is highly unlikely as the grind marks i put on line up perfectly. Possibly the bike is actually bent after the crash. or i did not fit it on right as it was early and i was short on time. Fingers crossed its the latter, and when i fit in on properly it all lines up .

After binning my xt125 into the back a car (lights were on green and she stopped) where can i get some handle bars from or know how to straighten them
When i repaired my DT125RE i had to email/phone about 4 different Yamaha dealers before i got a response. Straightening the bars is not a great idea depending how bad they are. Firstly its a pain in the arse to get them anywhere near like they were originally. And secondly the bends could have weakened the metal, which could leave some poor sod who buys the bike at risk and thats just not right tbh. Vez.

I want a ride out (im new, please read)
We just watch, its for older trials bikes. (although it was tempting to ask for a ride around the quarry/farm it was on) http://www.yamahaclub.com/forums/topic/21044-red-rose-classic-trials/ < some pictures from the last one. Vez.

How long do you think my bike will last before it’s actually stolen?
Try here, you can fit one yourself or have a guy fit it for you.http://www.motorbikealarm.co.uk/node/47 . they even come with the Peter Kay voice if that floats your boat. Vez.

2010 Yamaha YBR125 1st Review and feedback
I have to ask, do you kiss it goodnight while you tuck it in? j/ks Good review The clocks are different than the 07 model i had, look better imo. You will be grateful of the plastic bits if/when the rust starts, especially the part on the exhaust. The old one was chrome and looked nasty compared to yours. Like the new scoops on the front, definite improvement. Brakes weren't the best iirc, but from the sound of it you should have the dealer take a look at them, having the squeak as well sounds iffy so its best to get it checked out. Vez.

Cat removal DT125RE, well kind of.
Stuck for anywhere decent to put the front pipe tbh. The silencer can always go another coat if the heat gun fails.

Cat removal DT125RE, well kind of.
Its in the green house, for now at least. Done my silencer also, but may have to fit that sooner. Was wondering if a blast with a heat gun would make it cure faster, what you think ?

Cat removal DT125RE, well kind of.
So got some spare time this weekend and prepped the exhaust for painting. Blow torch and wire wheel for the win!! After stripping the paint back there was some weird marks that the wire wheel wouldn't shift, half hour with the sander sorted that out. 4-5 coats of OG's tried and tested Plastikote bbq paint later and its looking good. Just need to let it dry and fit it.

What do you wear?

Im new , ish
I don't think it would be wise to add 125cc bits, even if they are available. The bike would not like it and probably wouldn't last long anyway. Beside the law dictates you are only allowed to go 30mph at 16( can't say i agree with that idea tbh) It can suck being on a 50cc i know, but it won't be long before you can jump on a 125. And the "i only want to cruise sometimes" syndrome will start all over again with the 125 after a short time, believe me . Welcome to the Forums btw Karl. Vez.

Hi Matt, welcome to the forum. You may as well add a battery, unless you have removed the air filter box there is a space for it. Vez.
