YBR125 Speedo Needle Sluggish
Hi Spike, having read and re-read your post a few times, years ago I had a problem with my speedo needle only going as far as 30mph even if I went up to 60mph, although I don't think it will be the same problem as yours it's just a suggestion. What my problem was that a spider had somehow got into the unit and spun a web between the needle and the needle stop so as I went faster it was stretching the spiders silk thread, after about a week all of a sudden the thread just snapped and the needle functioned as normal. Mileage going down?!?
Hi Bewls88, First of all welcome to the forum. I personally can't answer your problem. I'm sure that somebody on here can. What might help you to get an answer is to first of all go to the "newbie's section" and introduce yourself. A lot of regulars don't like "one hit wonders". Once you have done that, then go to the appropriate section, in your case I would suggest the workshop. Hope this helps. Mike.

Sept Northern Ireland Trip (FJ shake-down ride)
Actually, that's a good point there Dutchy. We'll talk about a hundred mile trip on the motorway. When I leave Chippenham which is only about three miles to the M4 Eastbound to London, by the time I have travelled about 90 miles on the M4 I get the "numb bum". Once off the motorway it seems to be Ok........ BUT..(no pun intended) On the return journey after biking about ten miles to get back on the M4 Westbound I never suffer from the proverbial "numb bum" could it be psychological? as I am heading home? BTW, am interested in looking into the sheep skin pad theory.

Yeah, good point. How does anybody cope with a numb bum? I get it at around 100 miles on the motorway.

Sept Northern Ireland Trip (FJ shake-down ride)
Thanks for your kind reply, I was dreading a negative responce. Briefly, as I said we love your escapades especially with pics of all involved, but the only one of you was upside down. And as I also commented keep narrative brief. Hope this helps. Mike, Btw, my sons been on that trip especially to the giants causeway so I know you all had a fantastic time.

Sept Northern Ireland Trip (FJ shake-down ride)
FANTASTIC!!! But a bit long winded and got bored after a while, and the pics upside down and sideways didn't help. Would have been brilliant in book form. But apart from that I envy you as a family unit that can do that. Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear. Mike.

Hi Woodrow, welcome to this very friendly forum. I suppose you've been asked this many times before, but here goes, are you related to or a descendent of Mr Wilson? Sorry about that but I had to ask.

Hi Greg, welcome to the forum. Good pic, for a 125cc looks quite heavy duty. A bit of a workhorse I would say. Mike

Historic M.O.T.
Cheers Neo and Jimmy. That's what I expected. I do agree with Jimmy when he say's so if you present a bike with a month left and it fails, it is not roadworthy But, It's always been a "thirty day grace" when it fails to get the necessary work done. As I have said before, they should never have got rid of horses, once they go wrong all they have to do is shoot it and get another one. (only joking)

Historic M.O.T.
Talking about MOT's. Is it true that if you take your bike in for an MOT up to a month before it expires and passes it carries on from the expiration date. But if it fails the MOT then the MOT certificate expires then? Mike.

Same here Blackie. Can't remember when we first got our tele, round about '59, '60, '61 but before we had it the "must see" for us kids was The Lone Ranger on Saturday around tea time so what I did do was knock on my mates door and ask his dad if he could come out and play, he always said no because he's watching the Lone Ranger, "come in and watch it". Bingo, it worked every time. Mike
