Good question bb, I would say when it's tax exempt.
  3. I was a very big fan of the Pogues in the nineties Jimmy. But getting back to the original thread, on the way up this morning I listened to Jim Morrison's CD which included "come on baby light my fiuuuuur" Absolutely brill. I had it quite loud but the missus was still trying to talk to me but I didn't hear a word of what she was saying. The next time I shall wear headphones. The downside was on the way back she had Queen on.
  4. I bet even the ponies wear them
  5. Right, I've made up my mind as per your suggestions. It's going to be. Jim Morrison (Doors)
  6. Well done Rupert, at least you got one response. From Blackie none the less.
  7. I totally agree with your choices Pilninggas, but I like "fox on the run" by Sweet better.
  8. All your three suggestions are great, but in the end I might put in the doors cd (come on baby light my fire/riders in the storm/hello, I love, won't you tell me your name)
  9. Right everybody, let's stick to the list. If Foamy is on line he would most likely suggest "all right now" Which one of my list would you suggest? Not your recommended suggestions.
  10. Well done Paul, what about when I was stationed at HMS Pembroke in Chatham, "Another Brick In The Wall"
  11. Watch it Merv, my missus loves BCR's and Phill Linnot
  12. I think we are going off in a bit of a tangent here. I can only choose from the music I have suggested. Lets stick to the list please.
  13. Let us know how you get on conna, this is a big one that we all want to know the outcome.
  14. Mr N, why didn't I thing of those Dire Straits (walk of life) I have got that cd Goldern Earring (radar love) Haven't got that one
  15. Well done Rupert, I work in Corsham. This isn't a come on in and and ask ask question forum, more of a very friendly chat place where you introduce yourself and then ask/give advice. All I can suggest to you is go to the new members section, introduce yourself then go to the relevant section, i.e. in your case the workshop section. If you go through the proper procedures I can assure you, you will get more help. We get a lot of "one hit wonders" here where people come in and ask a question, get the answer and we never hear from them again, even to say thanks. I hope to hear from you again but you might have to explain your problem again though.
  16. I have been detailed to go with the wife tomorrow to the in-laws. I can choose the music to listen to on the way up, I'm looking for suggestions. I've got a choice of the following, what would you recommend? Thin Lizzy (whiskey in the jar) Free (alright now) Manfred Man Boney M Mamas & Papas Bay City Rollers Jim Morrison (Doors) Supertramp Hot Chocolate Searchers The Kinks Rolling Stones Jimi Hendrix Hermans hermits
  17. Rupert, bearing in mind you haven't introduced yourself in the new members section properly, We haven't a clue what you are on about.
  18. No, It's just that I was in the agriculture business in my last job (22 years ago) and we were main dealers for them. Being in the countryside I tend to see a lot of modern state of the art Case tractors so I wonder where they come from now. One thing I do remember about Doncaster is that when I rang them up they were very, very helpful. nothing was to much trouble for them.
  19. Conna, I'm an ex submariner who is supposed to be all hard and aqualine, but this has really touched me, I do hope the parents see this and get in touch.
  20. Welcome Dan, but what on earth does Nox mean?
  21. Welcome Jamie, Doncaster eh? Is International Harvester/Case still up there?
  22. I've had the same problem myself, if you remove the seat and the fairing with the grab rail on the right hand side of the bike you will find a relay/block connector at the front of a row of three or four.relays/connectors, remove it from its holder, turn it upside down and you should see a blue/white cable which is from the starter button. Check the connection going into the block, mine was corroded so I cleaned out the female connection in the block, joined a new bit of wire to the cable and pushed it into the block then taped it up with insulating tape and the jobs a good un. Also check the kill switch is set to run.
  23. I've tried to ride off three times with the disc lock still in place even with the bright yellow curly wurly cord in place, and I have found that the only solution is as pilmin, pilling, pilninggas says is to park the bike facing something so you have to pull it out. And it has cost me a set of discs, only one was damaged but I replaced both at the same time. It would be interesting to know how many others have tried to ride off with the disc lock still attached? The thing is I do feel safer with it on especially in the morning when I'm running it up to warm the engine up while I'm getting my gear on indoors.
