hi all, i need some help! i have a 1987 dt125 lc mk 3. the bike has been stripped to bare essentials as it is now a field bike. i have got all the parts needed to get it running but dont know which wires from cdi unit to connect to the ht lead.basically i have a cdi unit with the wires coming out of it, i have a basic ht coil which is a black lead with 2 spade terminals at one end(1 green/1 black) and the other end plugs into a spark plug cap. which wires do i attach to the ht coil in order to get the spark in which to breathe life to the old girl! any help would be greatly appreciated

hi, can anyome tell me whether i can use any yamaha handlebar grip throttle on my dt125 lc mk3? surely they all do the same thing?

hi, i too am a newbie to bikes and have also bought a very poorly/ruff dt125lc mk3 also 87. am trying to get a replacement engine so if anyone has one or knows of one goin pls reply via this thread. good luck with your bike.

hi thanks for your pics, they were a great help, i also have the haynes manual but i find it to be more confusing than helpful in some cases though. however mine is a field bike so is missing alot of bits but now i know i need the oil bottle so off to ebay. started to tinker with the current engine as am replacing it anyway ( when i can find one!) and am starting to understand it all a little better now. so hopefully it wont be long before i get the ole girl running

hi could anyone help with a link to picture/diagram that displays all components of a dt125 mk3 1987. just bought a bike fora project for myself but am missing a few parts so would like to identify what i have and what i need to get. it has an engine, radiator etc but cant see a few bits like carb but am not totaly sure whats missing. as its a 2 stroke do i mix the fuel myself or is there supposed to be an automatic oil mixing pump/bottle? any help would be greatly appreciated

hi, am looking for 1987 dt125 lc parts,namely an engine, throttle and carb, front brake caliper. have registered with breakers part finder but not having a lot of success. has anyone got said parts or a bike they are breaking or even know of someone/somewhere who may be able to help me? thanks

hi have got a 1987 dt125 lc and am looking to replace the engine. have been offered a 1991 dt125 r engine for a good price, my question is will this engine fit my 1987 bike or do i have to get a different engine thanks john
