please help
Robert the clicking you hear under the seat is actually the fuel pump priming it's self so you know that works. Try jump starting the bike using a car, I've done this and no harm has come of it. If you get it started then go for a long ride to charge the battery. As far as other parts of the electrics go its a long job but you need to check every connection to see if they have worked loose. Failing that then look at relays. If that fails it could be something like a buggered starter motor.

End of the dream
Was carted off in an ambulance so don't even know what the bloke looks like. If I was able to talk to him at the time I would be up for actual bodily harm or manslaughter now anyway.

End of the dream
Cheers guys. Unfortunately looks like the bike is going to be written off as according to the police there was oil and petrol all over the road. I havn't seen the bike yet but hopefully ill be able to salvage some stuff off of it.

End of the dream
Well guys just thought I'd let you know that my R6 dream ended on Thursday around 13.30. I turned into a side road from the main I'd just been on, went passed a van (which I thought was parked up) that then moved out and side swept me into a parked car the other side of that road. Bike looks like it will be written off but don't know yet as I was carted of in the back of an ambulance. I don't know what hurts more my injuries which aren't that bad to be honest or the void in my life where my bike was. Regards

wot end can???
I have a blueflame Evo 3 titanium on my R6 and it sounds sick, it pops nicely on the over run and gives massive power gains, plus good value for money as well.

R6 problems?
The R6 is an arse to work on cos of the way yamaha have crammed everything in. Just changing the brake lines the other day took a while cos of ill placed bolts, and though I do most things myself on the bike I wont try that.

What Petrol??
There was a tuning company that at one point tested all the different fuels you could get for power gains and throttle response. I cant find the website but the findings were: BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax / V Powergave the same power gains over normal fuels and believe it or not Tesco 99 gave the same gain in performance again on top of the BP and Shell fuels. As far as my tank goes the fuel light comes on around 110-125 miles on average. I have managed to get that as high as 160 miles before it came on but only the once. Regards

bike cleaning?
Whatever happens never ever use T-cut cos ill come and find you and chop your arms off. It contains Ammonium (NH4) which is very corrosive almost like bird lime. I use diesel to get rid of other oil deposits as you can leave it on paint work with no problems - just be careful near the brakes. As far as muck off goes follow the instructions and there should be no problem, leave it on for too long however and it will eat into the pint work. Regards

R6 problems?
There are no problems as such, there will be a chatter from the oil pump chain but it isn't a worry the only thing you have to worry about is the 24k service which means you'll have to shed out around £400 for it. Regards

Dropping the yokes
cheers for the swift reply. Would you recommend doing it or is it not worth it.

Braking problem
Ive been told that some floating disc designs mean that bumps make them rattle a little hope you can find the problem and sort it.

Dropping the yokes
Hi guys seen that on bikes that are used for racing and track days that people have put the suspension forks through the yokes in order to lower the front end - what benefits and disadvantages does this give the bike as im looking for more cheap mods to do to the bike. Regards

Will look into it tomorrow as there is a yamaha dealer 100 yards from where I live. Regards

nailed
Congratulations to the both of you. Make sure you find a good firm to help you get through your test and don't make silly mistakes, they are expensive. I didn't put my feet down at a stop line - I have good balance and knew the area so went into a gap that presented itself. Regards

2000 yamaha blaster clutch help
I assume you mean disengage the clutch as if you don't this would be the cause of the problem. If you are doing everything correctly it sounds like you may need to overhaul the entire clutch mechanism or at least clean it as the plates maybe sticking. Regards

R6 Owners
Mostly yanks (no offence to guys here) who are interested in allowing their skins to be pealed, getting the front wheel in the air and adding as much weight in the form of chrome as possible to their bikes. Having said that there are a few good posts but a lot of crap. I've been a member there for 5 months and have only posted a coupled of times and drop in only once a week tops. Regards

The fuzz show some sympathy
The guys that got me just before xmas seemed annoyed that they had to nick me. I was doing around 65 in a 40 on a cold winters eve and Id just travelled from Brighton to Southampton so you know I was cold, very cold. Anyways 10 mins from home these cops pull me over and chat to me and only do me for 56 in a 40. They could see I was cold and actually took the piss out of me as I have a MotoGP race waterproof which looks like a gimp suit. Seems stupid having a laugh with the guys that are giving you 3 points and a £60 fine. Regards
