Hi, My 2005 FZ6N has a throttle limiter attached to it. The haynes manual appears to show that it might be straightforward to remove, but as yet I have not plucked up the courage to try it myself. The restrictor kit is an "Alpha Technik RJ07" but a quick google search did not turn up anything useful. Good luck with it and if you do manage, I would be very interested to know how you got on - my dealer wants over £100 to remove it... Cheers, Gogs

Hi ChrisW, Yeah that sounds a bit like the craft thingy my wife has - it's a glorified hair dryer only slightly hotter. Wouldn't consider using the paint stripper type, they're ferocious! Thanks again to everyone for the replies! Gogser

Hi fellas, Thanks for all the advice, I never thought of using a heat gun. The missus has one for craft work, which will probably do the trick then. Brilliant... Gogser

Hi guys, Is it difficult to remove rim tape (wheel stripes) from wheels? Any suggestions as to how best to go about it would be most welcome. Thanks guys

Hi bud, Mine is restricted by a throttle valve limiter of some sort. The actual kit is German in origin judging by the paperwork which accompanied the bike after the work was done last month. I'm not really technically minded but I think it may be a restriction on the travel of the throttle cable??
