thhat will be why the clutch wont work you need to fix that first. that bar pushs another bar inside the engine whitch pushs against the outer clutch plate to open the clutch. you will need to take the case off so you can see the clutch plate housing to set the clutch once your done. best of luck buddy.

that bar shouldnt just pull out there should be a retaining bolt holding it and a circlip.

Recently stript and re-built my bike did a bench test of the engine all was good, started first time but blew the fuse on the starter relay as soon as i connected the battery. even with nothing connected to the main loom such as switchs, voltage reg and so on the fuse still blows when i connect the battery. have checked all wires and connections all seem fine. i havent got any ideas left please help thanx.
