Once you have straightened the float (if it is bent) you can adjust the fuel level on the float needle at the top you will see a small circlip on the nedle you will see 5 grooves make sure it is on the middle one (factory setting) you can adjust by moving up or down this may solve the problem

Hi I have a 75 dt 175 and i managed to get a flywheel puller from Ebay ( Yambits) uk hope this helps

if you take the float out you will see a tiny circlip holdint thre needle to the float there are a number of grooves just take the clip off and move up a couple of notches. I did that with mine and it stopped the gas leaking out.

yes i did retrace my steps i walked the 8 miles this morning but no luck.

Hi Guys Can anybody help me ? I need to find a left hand side black plastic cover that fits just underneath Exhaust on the left hand side of my 1975 DT175. lost mine whilst out for a ride. I have looked in the usual places Ebay etc and cant find one. does anybody have any ideas. Cheers Ray

Managed to get hold of new points and condenser, but am very new to this Classic bike lark and am waiting on a workshop manual before i attempt anything. I will keep you posted thanks Ray

hi I have just bought a 1975 DT 175 I am having a problem when running bike, it fires up 1st kick and revs freely but when i am riding it seems to be missing and spluttering under acceleration and there is a distinct lack of power any ideas
