  3. Well done on passing your CBT my wife is going to do hers in a couple of weeks never riden a bike before but always wanted too just had problems with her eyes but now she has had lazer surgery done all fine and she cant wait.I still have 2 years mind before she gets her hands on my thundercat as she wants to start on something small first which is probably best i think. Anyway as for your bike very nice and as for a little bit of BLING why not get some wheel rim tape to break up the black nice bit of orange would do wonders just a thought

I have a thundercat aswell and it too is my first bike and i have great fun on it mind you couldnt keep up with mates R1 but gave it a bloody good go.As for speed its good for just over 150 so will keep up with most 600,s.Very good riding so smooth and as its a sports tourer and not a full on sports bike you dont get back ache if traveling lots of miles.
  5. Nice pic captain had a little chuckle. So your a member of the BLUE OSYTER CLUB then by the looks of your pres??
  6. Forget the above as i have sorted it all out got all the sprockets and chain on and even worked out how to use the tool as there were no instructions and never used one before took awhile. Now back on the road and boy is she smooth to ride no shaking just how its ment to be just got to get the oily finger prints off now.
  7. Hi andy got the bike all sorted out over the weekend running like a dream and for my first time doing chain and sprockets it went well once i worked out how to use the tool no instructions came with it but got there in the end.We are leaving about 10am from lowestoft for a slow run up there.I heard the other day that they have sold all 1000 tickets and cant let anyone else in hope you got your ticket and not gonna get it on the day as rumour has it they will be turning people away mind you i have never seen them do that before. See you on sunday be good to meet up.. Laters damo
  8. Well can you believe it i got all my stuff apart from the bloody tool so no going on the bike this weekend Not being to up on bikes as this is my first and im too skint to put it in the shop for work to be done i have ago myself and get more satisfaction aswell knowing its right but i am abit concerned about something might just be me and you can all laugh i really dont mind but if you dont ask you dont know right? so if anyone can help out my question is After i fitted my new front sprocket and fitted the out side casing back on i dont think my clutch seems to be working?? i thought that if you put the bike in gear (engine not running)and pull clutch in then the rear wheel should be free but mine isnt or is this right?? I have taken it off and refitted, even dabbed a bit of grease on the push rod to see if it lined up on the clutch cable bit right and it does. I cant try it with the bike running as the chain is not joined yet

well i have been told that my sprockets and chain are knackered on my little old thundercat so its time i changed them i have got to remove my swing arm to get the chain off as its an endless chain.I have never done anything like this before but do have the haynes destruction manual at hand so if anyone has any help or tips on this matter to make my life a little easier that would be great....cheers I have 2 weeks to get it sorted and im confused already Why oh why do shops have to charged sooooo much

I had fun down there trying to keep up with a fireblade not easy on a little 600 cat but gave it ago, mounting a roundabout, stopping for a rest and lying helmets on grass only to find out it was on an ants hill and then to top it off i fill up with motion lotion and then go for a stop at the edge of the road and hit some gravel and hey presto over the bike goes with me fighting with it all the way only damage is a couple of nicks on the engine casing thank god for the magic mushrooms. All in all a great day out, down there only took 3 hours to get there but 4 1/2 on way home as we missed turning and went a little out of the way.Now gonna see if we can sort out babysitter for Brands in August.. All the fun of biking

What a day sun was out just me and the wife no kids on the bike off we went only to find that there was a bad smash on the A47 and they werent letting anyone on bummer so another way then and yes went the wrong way so back again we went.Day is going well i thought back on track again arrived ok no problems watched the racing, got sun burnt on legs then headed back home only to hit a big dip in the road and as i have had to fit a LEGAL NUMBER PLATE after getting a £30 fine on now and not having a number plate bracket only an under tray you guessed it the back end went down and ripped the bloody thing off thank god that was only the damage which was caused by it.So the rest of the journey home was abit iffy as if i had got stopped i wouldnt have been able to tell them my plate as i couldnt remember DOH! I dont know all this hassle to be street legal so now i have got to make some brackets up and buy another plate and fit this weekend or better still leave the wife at home its ok she has gone to work

Hi Andy congrats on the test mate as for the cat? well i have been riding scooters for 20 years and only last year i decided to get a big bike (my ears couldnt take anymore from the wife) so i sold one of my scooters and bought a CAT as my first bike having never riden a proper bike so to speak.I had a days lesson on a hornet and then out on my cat.My advice is enjoy it mate just take it easy with the throttle but i have had so much fun and it is so easy to control it more or less does the work for you as some of the others have said get the miles on the clock.Had mine now for a year next week and it still brings a smile to my face every time i go out on her like the other weekend when a couple of us done 600 miles was a great feeling mind you not got the bottle yet to get my knee down guess im too scared of dropping her.
