  1. 82 xj750 seca ran for a couple secs then shut off. did the norm check fuel flow , levels, so on. No problems with the carbs I have since pulled them and fully cleaned them, replaced manifold gaskets, same problem, Checked spark 1 and 4 fire great 2 and 3 fire only as you let go of the starter button if at all. Checked coils, wires, and caps with ohm, no issues. I then checked the pickups both tested the same as normal. so i guess my question is the only way to check the operation of the ignitor to swap it out with a known good one, Could i swap it out for the one my 82 seca 400 without frying that one, Could there be something else I'm overlooking
