still the best looking of the small cruisers 2 tips 1) keep top side of the cleaning and maintenance, you'll get a good price when you sell it it on 2) dont have a bunch of keys hanging out of the ignition switch, they'll swing and chip the tank paintwork Enjoy

If all youve done is swapped the caliper, and not touched the master cyl, then it sounds like the piston is seized Was it a new caliper Did you check the piston slid in and out before fitting Why did you change the caliper

You have to remove the ring that holds the filter from the end of the seat, the numbe ris underneath the ring Old number is 2.3, new number is 1.5 Its my cock up, I've ordered the wrong seat, for 92 to 94 bike, should have been 97

Nope, no numbers on the old seat. Float needle and seat arrived today,. Checked against the old one before starting to fit The hole size in the new one is smaller than the hole size in the old one. Everything else appears to be the same Checked before buying, dont appear to be a range of sizes to choose from as with the jets Ok to fit? Any differences in performance as a result?

Hmmmm, that looks a bit healthier Took it for a 10 mile run, seems fine Rigged up an LED indicator so that I can see whats happening while I'm moving, as I need to build some confidence back up in the bike, seems to work fine, all LEDs lit on the run

Slow down a bit Get the bike first Ride it around, get to know it If, aftre a while, you want to change the pipes, then do, but there's nowt worse than buying a bike then stripping it for some reason or other, then having hassle to get it going right again, it''ll put you off if your'e not mechanically minded.

The stock pipes are the best sounding on a small cruiser I ever heard, but its a personal thing The Highway Hawk pipes sound a little harsh and give the game away a liitle thats its a 125 Drilling holes in the stock pipes might mean some furtling with the carb/might mean an MOT failure Bear in mind that second hand stock pipes are rarer than an honest politician In my view youve 2 options 1) Leave the bike as it is, enjoy it for what it is, learn your roadcraft on it an pass your test, then move on to a bigger bike 2) Buy some aftermarket pipes, keep the stock pipes for MOTs (undrilled), pass them all on when you sell the bike on after passing your test Look after it and it will hold its price well
