Be careful your fuel doesn't go off. Unless your using "Super", your petrol will contain ethanol, which absorbs moisture, the longer its in the tank unused, the more likely you are to have problems firing it up next year. Not likely to be a problem if the bike is fuel injected. If its a carburetor fed motor, then you'd perhaps be best draining the carbs As an alternative, I believe that their is an additive that you can put in the fuel to prevent it going off, buggered if I can remember what's its called at the mo Oil the chain so it doesn't go rusty while its standing Make sure that you've washed all of the road salt off
  3. and if I squeeze the clutch and release, it starts again Theres a clue then Id be tempted to check out the clutch switch/side stand switch/kill switch and associated wiring

Not sure what lamp type it is youve got or if it comes out back or front. If its front, you can use something like this, it just pushes onto the top of the lamp, twist and pull. You can make your own dead easy with a short piece of flexible tubing http://uk.farnell.com/dialight/506-0045/bulb-installion-removal-tool/dp/1193351

  12. Be very, very careful if you take the alternatior cover off. The brushes and the bakelite type material that they sit in can be easily broken. Make sure to pull the cover off straight, and put it on straight, while sliding the rubber cable grommet out of its slot

  14. Normally there is a mark on the splined shaft that needs to line up with the split in the lever Ride it for a couple of days, if its still good, then mark the end of the shaft with a centre pop, where it lines up with the split. That wont wash off

Well done. Apparently, the technique for lifting a fallen bike is; back to the bike down on your haunches one hand on the uppermost bar tuther under the seat or similar straighten legs, and up goes bike never had to try it though Is that how you lifted it?

Aye, the move to the "cashless society" forced uon us by governments has oened myirad oortunities for crooks. it was suosed to reduce remove the risk of eole losing their money, but far more is lost now to criminal activity than was ever lost whewe were aid in cash Also, the banks get hold of your money quicker, and hang on to it longer, so they can gamble it away in much larger quantities
