personally mate i wouldn't change the sprocket sizes, on your 4-banger it won't make enough difference because the engine's made to be more torquey at low to mid revs whereas a 2-smoke revs high to make the power. first thing would be (as said above) k&n high flo air filter and a new exhaust system, id personally go with an arrow system, probably the best you can get for that bike. and then take it to be set up at a dyno centre where they can up the size of the jets and get it all running properly. Hope that helps Tom

Any that are 33hp can be restricted to 12hp by a service centre or bike dealership. not necessarily the other way round though, because not all tzr125's can pull 33hp. good choice of bike though, if you can find a tidy example then you'll be onto a winner, very nice bike Tom

are the electrics the same setup as what yamaha put on the later dt's? ie: servo closes the powervalve at 7500rpm and makes the bike lose power when you change up gear? I have a 2006 DT125X and i managed to get the powervalve to stay open all the time the throttle is wound back and now ot's a lot more nippy. Let me know what the deal is and i might be able t help you out a bit Tom
