  1. hi my mate has the same problem with his virago had been stood for a couple of weeks we looked i the manual shows you how to check it remove cranck case cover ect,ect the clutch should only turn in one direction bike shop want near on £400 to do it anyway to the point there is a site called wemoto they do a starter clutch repair kit £25 (for the virago) you will need the manual the only specialist tool we had to get was a puller to take the flywheel off to get at it hope this helps and goodluck

    hi i have a 535 had it 4 years my mate just bought one sounds great but he has the same thing wont go over 60/65 how did you solve your problem ie was it resticted ? how did you derestrict it ?

    hi lads and lasses i need some advise i have a virago 535 when i try to start it the starter motor just spins allmost sure this is the starter clutch problem local shop wants ££££££££££££££ to replace clutch hunted the net found a starter clutch repair kit i have the haynes manual any hints tips or advice would be welcome thanks pat
