  1. now, where's that bear suit
  2. As long as you dont feel it pull when your sitting on it and a gentle squeeze with the brake is enough to stop it turning then its fine, and it is good to give it a hurl around often to keep it healthy-battery included, and more importantly to get the feel of the weight, slow manoevres are also a great and often overlooked skill to learn on a big bike, so, have you shot anyone yet?
  3. Its just a little drag Stevie and nothing to worry about, mines does it, welcome back BTW

  7. use jump leads connected to the battery-two screw drivers on the loose ends of the cables to use to make contact with the posts on the starter motor, or take the starter out and do the same thing, essentialy powering up the starter motor to see if it turns, it could be the brushes inside are knackered-cheap to buy from www.wemoto.co.uk

Up here they have introduced a new exciting and technological gaff-'whin dust' (gray granite fine chippings), costs 3 times as much as rock salt, produces no melting or grip, scratches fine paintwork on cars, bikes etc, and doesn't dissolve in rain so it blocks drains with ease, I'm gonna use the old divvy as a winter hack and varnish it with 'Araldite' re-inforced with hessian sacking
  12. You wont regret it

  20. Theyre called 'banjos' Buffy, you can source bolts and copper washers the same size and use these to 'blank-off' the oil cooler, previous XJ's dont have the oil cooler and the engine is exactly the same, its a wee bit of gimmick really, oh and blanking off on these bikes is a fairly common 'mod' with no reported issues, sup to you tho' its your ride
