The little KH125 was my first bike too-happy daze
  6. Just had a look at your link-at that price you cant grumble
  7. Its gonna squirm a bit in the wet Foamer if its a harder compound, it might just be sealing/mould release wax thats on the surface making it feel hard, once this is scrubbed off you'll get to the raw rubber, go very easy with it for the first 200 miles, the XJ club have tried all sorts of tyre on these bikes and the BridgestoneBT45 is rated the best for grip and long mileage, let us know in the summer how you rate it
  8. Maybe 'The Foamster' could nick you something off a chopper ?
  9. Have a scan through this lot Drew http://www.polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/Unsealed_Connectors.html
  10. Hi Mike and welcome to the 'ward' few cruiser owners on here m8, good to have you on board and nice 'intro' too Jim

  12. Welcome to the 'ward' sticker sales man type guy (you didn't say what your name was)
  13. Definately worthy of the coveted 'Sir' pre-fix Sir Hornix of the Netherlands
  14. You've built something quite special there Hornix, will we see you at Squires ?
  15. Have you tried restricting the air flow to the carb a little to see if that affects it-what Cynic says sounds about right, sounds like the exhaust port is ejecting fire instead of burnt gas
  16. That is a minter Wolfie , I would give my right man-boob for one of those in that condition
  17. If its a breather then best to leave it as it is-you could remove it and clean it thoroughly with parafin-some wire with a small piece or rag attached, make sure its bone dry inside before fitting it back, post some pics of it Kato
  18. Welcome to the Y-O-C Bill, you'll get to see more of the scenery on your trip up here then Jim
  19. Its definately better going to a shop and trying a lid on, different manufacturers will have slightly different sizes, the lid should be snug but not too tight, it shouldn't shove your cheeks into your eyes, spend 5 mins with it on in the shop, you will feel any pressure points, once your satisfied that its for you then go home with that 'models' size written down-browse t'internet if your looking for a bargain, if you find it cheaper on-line go back to the shop and ask them if they can match the price
  20. and plug holes with no hair in them
  21. Welcome to the 'ward' Nooj , your missus sounds like a tearaway
  22. Joining a forum is rewarding and fun, its a community of like minded people with a common interest. like any community, club or group on the 'Net' its good 'netiquette' to introduce yourself, this can be a simple "Hi' or better still a brief intro about 'you', this can include your first name or nickname, your bike/bikes, and where your from etc, its up to you what you put in your intro. This is not an 'on-demand' garage, and it is considered rude to barge in with a "how do I fix this" type question on your first post, however there are a wide variety of members with knowledge and skill that are only too happy to help you out- its just good manners to say 'Hello' first Use the 'search' facility there's tons of info already on this forum and it might help with your question/problem, there is also the option to PM (personal message) a member or a Moderator. Stick around, you might learn something (might) 'Start new topic' on the bottom right of this forum is the place to go
