Very strangely that evenenig (before reading your post) I realised that I was holding the can too far away! As soon as I held it closer and for longer it sprayed a thicker, more solid layer and then when I lacquered (again fairly thickly) it produced a beautiful mirror like finish!

Hi all I'm in the process of re-sprayign my panels, I wet sanded them first with 400 grit then used a flexible plastic primer, about 4 coats then started with th gloss black paint, after 5 layers it still doesn't look glossy and looks bitty...How do I get it to look like glass? Have I done soemthing wrong?

It's not a digital one, it's mechanical. It just goes completely haywire, all the way clockwise then anti-clockwise really fast

Hi all, my tacho has suddenly decided to flicker around like mad back and forth at crazy speeds. The cable seems to be fine and in good nic, has anyone got any idea what this might be?
  6. Hi all I have a 1991 DTR 125 and when I start the bike up first time it ticks over at usually 1,500rpm but after i've opened up the throttle it sticks at 6,000rpm. To accompany this the temp guage is going into the red after 10 mins of riding plus the water filler at the back of the bike keeps running out. Am i right in thinking that there is a leak somewhere, perhaps cylinder head gasket is blown, which is spitting out the water causing it to overheat and the high revs are due to the air leak also? Any thougths would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all Just got myself a 1991 DT, it's just had a service inc engine rebuild and when I ride around and then stop at the lights I notice a really strong smell of petrol, more so when the tank is full and the bottom of my trousers stink of it. Would this be due to a petrol tank overflow pipe? Or would it be over-fuelling in the carb and an overflow pipe releasing the excess? Could it be coming out of the exhaust manifold?
  8. That makes a lot of sense!! Thanks mate!
  9. Well a garage fitted the ignition but it's been wokring properly up until now, only today it's not turning off! It's been frosty so would this have caused something to seize up? How could it just stop working all of a sudden?
  10. Hi all I turn the key to the off position and the engine still runs and starts! Any idea why? It's a new ignition
