    1999 R1 Handling Mods

    Greetings - just found this site and thought I'd test out the technical know-how of its members! Am currently rebuilding a crashed 1999 R1and am planning to make some handling improvements. Have been offered some 02 forks which I believe to be shorter than the 99 ones.... hopefully quickening the steering. Has anyone got any experience of this mod? Does anyone have an opinion on which model yokes/triple clamp to use (I understand the 02 model is differently angled) and will it make an already lively bike into a tank-slapping nightmare?! Any ideas greatly appreciated.
