have you sprayed easi start in the carb mouth whilst turning over? if the engine starts then its def the carb

had some hail and was very cloudy at Kirkby Lonsdale. just warming up now, but then I was working on the bike all day

mystery caller at 5:45 woke mw up and it was a withheld number :/ never mind the sun was out, clear skies, time to get the FZ out and go the devils bridge in Kirkby lonsdale. Boy was it cold, salt on the roads and a bit of ice ice baby through Pendle. had to stop for a pee so took a couple of pickies. For some reason the tickover went to 4k revs, took on some fuel at a country garage where locals keep their engine running whist shopping (i kid you not) Went to start the bike and it was fine ever since. must be a bit of crud somewhere. met 1 biker at DB he was from Leeds on his new Honda, the one that has half an engine off a honda Jazz. nice ride back as it warmed up a bit more and back for 10:30

i thought it was for YDS Mikexs has stuff and there is a sister xs650 site in Holland too. eBay is usually the best, but widen it out to europe

the old adage is, buy the best you can and I think that the £7k bike could be knocked down to a more palitable level. You won't know till you ask. that may sway you

funny enough I have an xs400 tracker and an '87 FZ600, a few cc's above your bikes but exactly the same chassis on both
