My New XS500 carb tuning.....
pilots, alter fuel through out the range, but more so up to 3-4k when the mains start. The Pilots don't stop feeding fuel so will make a difference

carbs prob need a good clean, but if its running OK leave alone. you might be able to flick those limiters off as I think they just push on, Caveat Emptor

aw no. Malachi was the up and coming star too, very young. RIP same as the IOM TT, its something the riders love doing though and I still watch it for the racing, not the carnage.

I've no idea, some suggested phasing differences in the crank, others the compromised airbox shape

My New XS500 carb tuning.....
the 500 was a much different beast to the 400's as it was yams first attempt at a 4 valve head. the differences in carb settings was due to the left hand cyl running hotter. On the 400 they had a different jet. Can you not fit threaded spigots on the inlets and push balancer tubes over that. find the thread size using bolts

make sure the head isn't leaking by checking the oil (its water cooled) they are very revvy so need regular oil changed is it an SP model?

just to add a bit for information Ride Of Honour 2016 This years Ride Of Honour will be on the 17th July 2016, and will be from Squires Café Bar heading to Withernsea Wartime experience. The ride will be fully marshalled, and is L Plate friendly so all are welcome! Online registrations are £16.00 ( includes 1 free t shirt ) Pillions are free.. Registration verification will be open from 8.00am.. The ride sets off at 10.30am, and arrives at the withernsea at approximately 12.30pm

Older degreasing methods?
I do powerwash but on lowest power and 3 ft away and just to wet and rinse down. I use autoglym products which smell really nice too.

I generally use the helmet bag that comes with the helmet. I generally don't wander off that far either. the D clips are the only thing that are sanctioned for racing

modern stuff is now bio degradable, ( and rightly so) but it was generally just a wipe over with a rag, keeps the rust away yer know

yep, just past there, took the Darlington turn off and down the A66 135 miles from home. some pictures and vids Egli Vincent Comet 500cc 500 ducati 750cc xs650 in a side car, guy was fed up of fixing his trump engine. Lots of racers use the IMP engine from the 60's. They were called Coventry Climax engines and were originally made for fire pumps Triple yam? TZ750 grumpy's Szook katana which I think Jim Moore owned one time another grunpy mobile, Kwak moriwaki stylee FZ600's in the post Classic. Mike "spike" edwards trounced them all on his first time on an FZ few more
