Great to hear that a GSX750 owner said he could'nt catch me on the straight. Bike must be set up well now and I even manged to scrape the boots on the corners.

  7. will that drive a milling machine? and cut me a mount?
  8. Hi Peeps, I'm after someone who can autocad for a cnc mill. it's for turning a lump of ally into a mount/inlet for the super charger on the XS. cheers Drewps
  9. I suggest you get a manual for the bike as they will show schematics. I have no experience of your bike. you need to strip the carb and determine the thread size and height of the carb so you can gewt the correct mains
  10. whoa, hold on, that's an example. check what carb you have first pilots are for low end running, you can adjust those and when you can't adjust it anymore, then try a new pilot.
  11. buy a jet kit, only £14 from SIP. individual ones are £4 each with postage for example http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/jetting+kit+dellorto+7598+_40270200

brill photo, didn't know adfab was popular in the states, thought it was a brit thing
  13. there's no answer, thats why you buy a jet kit and see what happens, its cheaper that way believe me. Keep the carb, just rejet it
  14. needs rejetting, I fitted a new exhaust on an Aprilia SR and got a mains kit from SIP to tune it in

hotter cams are really for top end performance, you'll kill any tractability at low speed. Unless you live in the countryside and can keep the bike on cam it'll be a pig to ride around town. better with airflow - exhaust, porting/polish, carbs and ensure the ignition is spot on

I agree, know a few peeps who regretted that decision
  17. got a photo from the event
  18. went last Friday, and it was a blast. Its a really tight track and the FZ didn't steer very well Got overtaken by everyone and his dog, but then I've never been on the track before. upshot is, I've dropped the forks 17mm to tighten up the steering and its helped. The crmc boys drop theirs a lot more I'll try the charity one next on the 12th July
  19. well I got my ticket, hopefully Tommy can make it and the weather will be kind. A few 2 strokers off the 2 stroke forum are going

use a vernier caliper at the adjuster to rear of swingarm and match them up either side. If you are really not sure about the correct slack in chain, just make sure you do it at its titest spot (then dab some tippex on there for future, also handy for oiling so you don't over oil chain) there is a gadet out there called tension monkey or summat like that, google it
