    Engine code 1L6??

it'l be a 360 then, round barrels came after the D models and usually were "custom" type of bike!!
  3. it must have a clutch, a kick start wont work on that engine so spinning the wheel would be the only way
  4. just got back from the thundersprint, excellent day made better coz the weather woz good. missed Kev (up.yours) again, managed to phone him and went to the beer caravan where he said he was, phoned him and it rang out. never mind chris walker, bradley walsh and steve parish was there and chris walker raced the new Norton, WOOO!! it was ace. parish had the bmw 1000rr. got some peeks polish and a garryflex alloy abrasive for that brushed alloy look. NW200 next weekend wooooohoooo!!

  7. tumblers have moved, try wiggling the key and turning at the same time. you will have to get a new one (I would) so try different keys and eventually you may have to break it.

    Engine code 1L6??

    there's a 1L9, never heard of a that one. xs250 only with 3n6
  9. 01ps float level could do with resetting, and i think that you still have crud in the carbs. ultrasonic cleaning is best, i'd give the carbs to a pro carb cleaner and they can do wonders. if you give the first 3 letters/numbers of the engine number i could tell ya what you have (prob sg or h)
  10. ooo shiney bits! that engine is cool, is it upgraded at all, a few have put in remote oil coolers and over bored to 750+cc shell cams etc

  19. you have the dohc xs400, there are sohc variants and tbh they only have the word yamaha on them that's similar!! If you go to the top of this section there are downloads you can do. ( pioneer has them all but most peeps CBA looking) there is a maxim one there, i know coz i supplied it!! clutch looks like is usually adjusted at the engine first and then handlebars last. get the manual, have a read and if you have any more Q's post a topic. to the YOC
  20. i would say go back to basics, retime the valve train could be 180' out. I'd also check the ignition timing just to be sure. can't help with a how-to sorry
