    there was 2 power versions of the dohc engine a 38 and a 45 bhp might explain the different code or its just a casting stamp (series 2?)

    could be ignition, starter fluid raiseing the octane rating to at least get a fire!! try checking your earthing, undo the straps and clean the area (the starter slowly moving indicates this!) check igntion timing check battery for amps or try a tempory car battery drewps

    I use a rubber mallet. just make absolutly sure all the screws are out
  9. usually there's only live feed (brown) and the indicator body has a ground wire (black)

    TM I think maybe your valves are stuck open for some reason, do you regulary ride the bike or has it been stored? try checking the valve gaps to confirm. other than that loose sparkplugs? drewps

    if you scerw in too far you will seat the tips and they will grip the sides and snap off. aircooled engines are noisy beasts, oil level ok? check valve clearances (tappets are for OHV engines ) cam chain can slacken and you can get piston slap if bore is worn, but it don't sound like that. you can get a long screw driver and hold the handle to your ear and touch the other end against the engine, this cam pin point any dodgy noises. drewps

    no sorry , take them through the small claims court, it does work although its a slow process as I've used this myself.

  25. went to VJMC lymm show today and met up with OT. good weather and as a brucie bonus got 3rd best Yamaha award. got a bit wet on the last mile to home, so i didn't timed it quite right saw a silver Saxon bike, this Silver Saxon turbo was manufactured by the top 70's tuning company S+S Performance, and is a prototype/development bike they used to try and crack 200mph back in 1977. The bike was sold to the heavy metal rock band Saxon, who used it as a stage prop in the early 80's.
