  1. glad it worked out for you with the rims mate! some peeps on ebay need a reality check,, before they start knocking sellers. I've had a few "idiots" contact me when selling the car. that rebuild is looking good, PJ1 satin looks great, but if you use another brand, it tends to look greyer. don't forget to heat the paint to bond it to the metal!
  2. bit of trial and error Jason, Start with 1 size up on mains and take it from there. I'd also open out the pilot screws 2 turns to be on the safe side
  3. saw the south bank show on sea sick steve. feckin' brill he is
  4. I had to get back sharpish OT, I sold me car and the vendor was picking it up @ 1pm, otherwise I would have done. Got MOT next Monday @ 9:30 if its nice we can go out after then and maybe meet Mr Vez!
  5. BWJ you need to start wearing your glasses again! on a good day, you can see Blackpool Tower from there!
  6. no that's master bakers
  7. rob, speciaist area really, it could be the yolks got twisted or one stantion bent backwards. depending on severity, slacken the clamp on that side and bounce a few times and retighten. you may need to take it to a motorliner jig place who have all the necessary info and tools to do the job
  8. Got today off and the sun shone, what better way to shake off the cobwebs and go for a run. ended up at Clough head cafe, then to belmont and rivvie and back home on the A6. indicators decided not to, then thought better of it near home wish they stay off, at least I can fix something that's broken. here some pikkies belmont to rivvie road.
  9. that's the one near the new uni methinks!
  10. expensive for a pair of resistors BWJ I'm off tomorrow, so its a bike ride out (weather's supposed to be good) and a calll in the Maplins on the way!
  11. you only got HP off your old man if it was a town mate or raleigh runabout. the new fizzies and AP50's were for the rich kids as compensation for daddy working all hours instead of being a parent!!
  12. will it go bang straight away or pick an inconvenient time to go? Think go for it and get one of the kids to attach that little red wire on the battery while I'll look for that 50p behind the sofa!!
  13. so I need 12v tri-colour LED's here's an RD with those lamps on
  14. just found out I'm camping on the weekend of Stafford needed some bits as well, def not missing october's
  15. I though diodes only permitted one way current! I did post this on an electronics site but had this schematic quickly drawn for me. the tri-color leds are basically 2 LEDs inside a cover and when both are lit, make another colour. maybe need something in there to stabilize voltage both ways! putting "something in my speedo" would be LEDs as its a mini one
  16. here's a circuit, what do you think?
  17. yam usually stick with the same coloured wiring and I suspect it would be the same for you. headlamp bulbs also have standard fitting H4 etc so there's no worry there! I can't offer any more advice as i don't know the differences oin the physical layout (normally its all pushed inside the headlamp shell. post a few pikkies of both i you think it would help!
  18. is tired, but happy. The Ellesmere talent show was a resounding success and we had some amazing acts on. youngest was 6, and the oldest was...ahem!! me
