oops your right Tone rt = timimg for the valves and the rf = firing

put it 3 1/2 turns out from the carb from lightly resting, or you'll snap off the delicate tip. In fact take them out and check they are really pointed, otherwise they have already been snapped off. It has happened twice to me.

usually the voltage regulator, it puts juice into the field coil to generate power. the 650's also had brushes to the field coil so they could be shot. Spares from Mikes XS in USA or xs650shop.de in europe
