  7. need to look at this Pat
  8. usually theres a tiny circlip deep inside the body. Its been a while since i did my carbs and the laetr carbs are less easy to work on!
  9. I had a new tank but got it professionally stripped of rust etc here I then did the coating myself, its easy enough and you can do a better job.
  10. I would look at your battery. if its even the slightest way down, it will affect the ignition. the electronic ignitions need a healthy (ie good amps) battery and the battery is also used for charging! (sounds odd but true)
  11. try clearing the tiny hole within the master cylinder its a return orifice for the brake fluid
  12. stunning looking bike, clicky pikkie to sitey

  14. have fun John and ride safe. There was always a lots of scots in Blackpool, especialy when it was their holiday weeks. lets see you on the big one
  15. I've looked at the chain link too and just go for heavy duty standard chain and keep it oiled. for £22 I'm not going to bother with anythiing else!
  16. why are you posting this in the bar? workshop would be more appropriate and did you do a search on bleeding brakes? we have another member having the same issues (abet a different bike) but its all relevant!
  17. did you earth out the light blue wire near the neutral switch? if the lamp didn't light its either a live supply problem or, as said, the bulb has gone and needs replacing!
  18. short intro would be nice as a first post
  19. I'd start collecting parts for the bike when your on your travels. I personally wouldn't try and start the bike until at least I had the head off to check for rust. With the added ingredient of the turbo! those need a lot of tlc in my opinion and it might be worth checking the bearings (and pricing up for a refurb) good find though foams, the yam version of Top Gun
