  1. looks like It'll be cloudy. so I'm going on the tracker. where shall we meet there, near the brew wagon circa 10:30?
  2. yes that's new to me too. I think you need to study the wiring diagram to see if the wires are perculiar to the unit and can be just a case of bypassing the unit!
  3. what's a reserve lighting unit?
  4. not the best advert; grammar could do with improving as it will instill confidence in the reader. still I wish him well, but any more ads, please pass it by the forum owner Alex!
  5. looks a good project. look forward to your progress
  6. usually called a Motto in the UK john,
  7. tried to change the cc on the tracker from 250 (frame) to 400 engine and the idiots said there was no such engine made. I just left it as I'd told the insurance it's a 400 and they accepted it!
  8. I'd call that bike, "the winker"
  9. I reckon you can put the blue spot calipers on along with a 320mm disk. check out my tracker blog on how I did it on the xs400 (they use the same original calipers as xs 750/850/1100)
  10. wow that's a good price. welcome to the YOC
  11. h Graham, paint looks great, took some pictures of those type of ring lamps a few years ago at the toy run funilly enough!
  12. well Paul your forum hymen is now broken and your not a virgin poster any more! to the YOC
  13. sorry, can't be run without a battery. It needs something like 1 or 2 amps to power the field coil. having said that using a banshee stator you can go batterless http://www.xs400.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4648
  14. @ OT not quite what Alec has come up with. I think as a styling feature it could be developed more. the issue i can see it a car driver will see and think " what the f*ck is that " pull out to see it closer another thing is, with the motorcycle headlamp on would you see it with a main bean in your vision? I think it would be more useful on the rear and spells F*ck off or some thing. if its LED I would use a couple of batteries in the helment instead of plugging your self in i hate wires dangling from me and then forgetting to unplug! (christ i leave me keys in the bike)
  15. where she can find Kev's libido..

I know what you mean. nice and shiny. some peeps put hammerite into the silencers and swish it around to protect the insides from rusting. not advocating this, but worth considering
  17. I've had peeps offereing me bikes, but nothing happens. got no room now anyway (except for wire 250 hubs, always want those)
  18. looks fun Pat, keep the little one away or she'll be putting parts in her mouth
  19. I built me tracker for left over bits, still have crankcase, heads and various other bits. would never throw they, but i have given or sold a few to help out other peeps! I still buy NOS stuff when it is cheap enough. the Gilera is bekoning and I have already bought a tank from Austria (£25 delivered) and will need front end as it seems to be well bodged!
