there were two types, one field coil and the other permanent magnet. same as xj600 (pre 1990) and FZ600, that should widen your search.

are they the same as the pre-divvies? a mod was to get a mini door roll pin and replace it behind the clutch basket/oil drive. also check the starter drive nut as mine was loose (common apparently) google on here and it all there.
