  1. nice one just one more thought. the cause of the TCI going could be a faulty reg/rec check the charging on the battery with the engine running,it should be no more than 14.5 volts @ 3k revs could be why you had 18v to the coils

picked up the r6 shock from Kais today. looks a nice job and he's put a 100nm/mm spring in. they said they'll set it up for me and will also redo the valving if its not enough. anyway here's the shock the chain rubbed on the gas reservoir so i had to do a bit of grinding. was a bit scary, but i took the plastic cap off and there's loads of room in there so its all done now

    Mobius cam

not sure of the version you have but they're on v3 with a C2 lens (131' and brighter clearer exposure) I think they still are on 80mins time but you can get a capacitor which lets you permanently plug in to the vehicle. you can also get a lens extension where to can hide the main body and just have the lens on show. Along with the capacitor the camera can be set to record every time you switch on the engine.

  9. Yamaha have set-up a Yard Built dealer contest to promote a bit of healthy competition in their network. Best bit is, many of the parts developed and used on these bikes will soon be available over the counter.
  10. did you try to pushjovert the kickstart with the clutch engaged so it eliminates the valve train as I suggested earlier?
  11. have you double checked valve timing? it can be easily 180' out

    FJR SAGA!

never mind, just think about this time next year when its all in the past I'm still waiting for my rear shock to be finished. They are having issues taking out the bushing due to it being there for a few years and a 40 ton press won't shift it! can't do anything else till the shocks fitted
  16. ouch! may be try it with the clutch in, it won't kick over the bike but just spin the clutch basket. just in case the top was not timed properly
  17. shouldn't watch it whilst doing the dishes Kev
  18. only better when the kids are off school, tells you something about today's parents. I hardly ever took mine to school, they walked or took the bus
  19. hard to tell via text, sounds about right what you say. maybe try and do it again, you don't need to drain out the oil, keep the bike on its side stand and the oil will drain to the left. (thats why I start the bike upright so the oil pump gets some oil to pump) just don't try and kick over without the cover on as it will snap the crankcase bearing in the gearbox and will scrap the cases.
