Backpack's, Recommendations?
Aldi had some the other month. you are better with soft panniers and a tank bag. If your stuck on getting a backpack, get a cheap one from Clas Ohlsen http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/view/content/search?N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=backpack&Nty=1&D=backpack&Ntx=mode+matchpartial&Dx=mode+matchpartial&showTabs=true

FJ1200 1990 - just bought one
engines need to be used, so doing little roundabouts in the car park is not going to do the engine any favours. ask a mate to give it a good run out every now and then or better still, sell it to me

Ride out to squires 24/7/16
didn't get his name and he's not in the triples club, although he went to the FS1E rally few weeks ago. local guy anyway it is, cool so you don't need to undo tank bag. Glad tank is sorted now

Ride out to squires 24/7/16
Though I'd pay a visit to Squires today seeing as the rain was in the west. Greta ride out with the usual stop at Holmfirth dodging all the David Froome look-a-likes. One decided to wobble an overtake a fellow cyclist just I was bearing down on him at 90, not even a pre-overtake glance back to give me a heads up. OK pictures or it didn't happen; GT250 nice laverda and a beast of an RGS, can anyone guess where you access the fuel filler cap? Z900 with harris exhaust nice KH400 did someone mention Bennelli Tornado in green? my FZ got chatting to this guy, who suprisingly knows Blackhat (who doesn't) got home and only got spat on (not by the locals, just the rain) so back nice and dry

Front fork setup?
if you shorten the shock linkage, it usually raises the bike up, longer ones lower the bike. I assume you mean that though. I dropped my fz forks by 17mm just to get the thing to turn and thats with 16" wheel. the rear is raised 10mm too. steers better in the corners

xs400 flat tracker project
This is going to be a back burner project as this has never been done before on an XS400. I've decided to try another approach to fitting the charger and this seems to fit (just) I may get away with a 90mm pulley system which will make the crank fitment a little easier. It will aslo facillitate the jockey wheel and leave enough space for the belt to be pinched. the fuel will enter the top aprt and exit from the bottom Mount/ manifold. not sure whether to have 2 out lets either side (which looks good)or go for a single side to plennum chamber
