Have I killed my new battery....
I don't know,!! bike batteries are funny things and it depends on what you replaced the oem one with? I bought a generic one for £20 and it was shite after 6 months regular use, forked out for a "named " battery and its lasted 2 years up to now !! BTW buy an optimate they are brill and maintain the battery charge.

there should be a chain tensioner keeping the starter chain from lashing around. this wears as well as the starter chain.

there's a company in preston that chemically dips frame etc. tripple s will sandblast and powder coat your frame for £75. based in bingley not too far from you!!!

just checked a spare i have and the bush is level with the bevelled edge of the sprocket. ie approx 1mm below the surface. the wear marks you show correspond with the one I have here!! hope that helps drewps
