SR250 Clutch slips when changing gears up.
also check clutch rod as i had a slight slip due to rust just inside the seal (couldn't see it without taking out the rod) and this pulled back the rod slow enough for the clutch to slip slightly. no probs now as replaced it and the cable drewps

silver dream racer
found out a bit more of the bike The "Silver Dream Racer" called the Barton phoenix, was the 750 square four built by Barton Motors and housed in a Spondon frame. Dyson of Dyson Originals made the bodywork. They made a 500 version as well. It had disc valve induction, and in fact made a lot of power and was very fast, but getting them to last a race without a siezure was a big challenge. Barry Hart, the inventor/builder, had very little sponsorship, and most of the development came out of his own pocket. He packed it in shortly after the film was made. The same motor was used with some success by Nigel Rollason, who in fact won the TT with an outfit powered by the 750. Buell also had one and had very little good to say about it more info HERE

Hello all
the plate times one set of points and a smaller plate (on the main plate) sets the other. you need to time them via the left crank cover cover and the points should open on LF and RF (left and right) use a multimeter or bulb and battery to know when they open. I'd do 2 1/2 turns out on the carsb, although it won;t prevent it from starting. If the ignition is timed, just chuck some fuel in the bore and heat up the spark plug to fire it up!!
