when I lived in N devon, had a kh125 and decided to see how fast I could go round a particular bend. I eventually ran off the tyres at about 6 in the morning, pushing my thumb socket out ( and I pushed it back in!) then having to push the feckin bike into Ifracombe up the bloody hills and explain why i need to go to the hospital to an irate boss!!

How many mystery writers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Two: One to screw it almost all the way in and the other to give it a surprising twist at the end. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hate all this terrorist business. I used to love the days when you could look at an unattended bag on the tube and think, 'I'll fucking have that!' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've started taking Viagra for my eyes, it makes me look well hard ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Zealand has parade of topless porn stars on motorcycles called "Boobs on Bikes" due to pass through Wellington. Meanwhile, here in England, we go one better with "Cunts on Bikes", as David Cameron and Boris Johnson cycle to work.

erm... no!! they are there for a specific reason and I would replace all the rings anyway if those have broken. the rings may have turned in the barrel making the ring expand into the ports causing a fracture, so make sure you have the piston pegs in place when reassembling. drewps

    you licking stamps HCR?
  17. this is why you do your own, its a bike and not too hard and you build up your tools as you go along. plus you get more satisfaction from it. having said that, my mate this weekend had snapped off a caliper bolt on his cb750F1 When he drilled it out, he didn't realise he drilled right through the fork and it wasn't till the bike was put back together he got oil pissing out everywhere you live and learn as they say

I'd try similar keys and wiggle around as the locks are old now and you may be able jump the tumblers. press down the cap when doing it to lessen the friction on the hook!!

Hi Yamdude, to the forum the brakes for your xs400, if it is an SOHC mode,l your brake caliper is shared with xs750, 850 and 1100 models (all from the right side of course). If you have lugs on your other lower fork you can have dual disks and use all the latters left calipers plus the Sr500 which have their single cliper mount on the left. if it is the dohc model some xj stuff will fit it. there is a sticky for xs links, top of classics drewps
  25. its the same as the 400's and 360's there's a sticky at the top of classics containing the manuals with step by step how to... here
