still listed mate, http://www.georgiawatersports.com/ http://www.nwvintagecycleparts.com/ SKU: 95821-10145-00 BOLT, FLANGE as for the square tank, there are loads in UK ebay!

they are not stripped, they are turning the inside lower damper rod. you need to get a 15mm dowel and chamfer the end then ram it down the inside tube to lock the damper rod after taking out the spring. A grip in the vice to hold it and then try the allen again. it will be tight. next time you do this you need to "shock" the allen off or it will turn again!! drewps

to theforum wtf61! try a little oetrol additive as I think the carbs are displaying a blocked pilot hole at the top front of the carb. this tends to hang the revs. it usually gets worse when hot!! have a look at the sticky at the top of this section as there are some usefull links for you to try. drewps

I shoved a clear washer tube in the lower float bowl with the carbs off the bike and clamped level. easy to do and was 2mm from top of float bowl as per specs. drewps

white smoke = fuel, float too high or leaking for cafe look I liked the xs750 tank on the 400!! try new mikuni flat slides, they'll cost though

good luck foams and whtch for the left handed screwdrivers and buckets of steam

you can get the dials refaced with larger digits.
-
I would suggest you keep the airbox, as these are the best for the bikes ( and rare) you could always try bolting on an aftermarket megaphone, then everyone will hear you!!

rewiring is a matter of patience, wiring diagram and not being colour blind. If you can get a yamaha original service book, they even show where the loom goes!!
-
the engine casings are the same, but you will need barrels, pistons, head (inc valves), cam cover and bs34 mikuni carbs/manifolds/air trunking. all the rest will suffice!
-
which pilot jets? fuel air or mixture?
-
have a play with your idle adjustment, its on top at the front of the carb. you need to enrichen the mixture as the revs are "hanging" being too weak a mix. Mikuni BS34 is the 400 carbs can't see why the indicator switch cant work, double check its got all the correct buttons on and you may need to rewire the multi plug. drewps

-
