It should idle ok with stock pilot jets, try upping the mains to next size but they really affect the engine from 3 k revs so you may have an air leak somewhere. have you checked the intake manifold for leaks and all vacuum take offs are secure? float height ok? carb really clean? did you check this site out?

I wouldn't recommend needle bearing for that application. the swing arm only has limited movement and the loading on it is really suited towrds phosphor bronze bushes!!

more likely the caliper has seized, just strip it down and clean. i'd do the M/C while your at it!

couple of things; I would say from the bottom of the contact cover, there is a little slit there from drainage. maybe a camshaft seal has gone ( easy fix) burinng oil with a leaky exhaust blowing back onto the head leaky head gasket getting oil blown up into the fins

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms. Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 am. The next day at 8:45 am there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new Employee. He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule.
