does sound noisy, could be that there is wear on the adjusters squewing the gaps (ie its dished, but your feelers are measuring the crown of the wear)
-
already sold the film rights to the 1st book, great read.
-
i'm going wid me mate, he's on a cb750 F1 leaving eccles @ 8am via manchester to stalybridge. holfirth, wakefield, garforth then lotherton.
-
does sound loud, could be wear in the adjusters causing wrong readings. The adjuster ends hammers the top of the valve stem and it dishes, causing you to measure the crown of the depression but not the actual gap drewps
-

it's a 125, and it will never sound like a HD Fatboy. might not need to rejet after changing exhaust have you tried custom fasteners in wales boyo? they do custom stuff
-
I am assuming the base has rotted? you may find a new seat at speedsport (USA) cmsnl (Dutch) Govnors Bridge (UK) other than that try german ebay as their stuff seems to last (i got mine from germany)
-

-
go on, that'll be a laff!

i have a little one fits no problem the whole thing looks like a reverse L. btw you can undo the carb connection and turn the union to the horizontal position
-
sounds like a carb issue. pulling the clutch in then the engine revving could be either a sticking throttle cable or you have a weak mix. does the bike rev in neutral? army; all xs400's have false neutrals some where, mine is between 5th and 6th if you adjust the drive chain, it helps gear changing immensly
-
not sure why you need to change the spec of the starter sprocket! maybe the chain has worn past its use by date or the guide is worn?
