  1. the filters and the airboxes on the xs screw to the battery box via a strap and are hidden by the side panels.
  2. pods are killer to CV carbs, they disrupt the airflow to raise the needles via diaphram. I'm on pods but had to use the "H" pipe to smooth airflow, not perfect. and at the least you'll need to up jet. its not easy and really should have it dyno'ed to dial it in. airboxes create perfect flow conditions for the carbs. by all means use a K&N in the airbox, but K&N stopped making them.
  3. could be timimg, check with strobe light. carbs could be blocked in the tiny galleries in there. should be getting 80 mph tops so its not too far away. run some fuel cleaner through, even using the bike will loosen it up a bit so it may be just that.
  4. good find, no more new bikes for me unless one goes. Love to have a lock up away from the house though. Missus would never know what I'm up to then

yep, A freind had an Apprilia 125, she came round to my house saying it didn't sound right, no power. I tried it with choke and it ran worse. so I blipped the throttle to wide open and managed to red line it and all the crap came out. She the bike below 6k and basically the poor bike was 4 stroking. as it could'nt burn the fuel. Now she guns it everywhere
  6. maybe try and press down the cap whilst turning key so the "arms" jump the fuel tank ridges. (hard to describe) and press and turn the cap
