Welsh TT CANCELLED
some more info; This year’s much-lauded inaugural Welsh Road Races at Eppynt will not go ahead due to a change in the traffic laws, say organisers. On the 9th of January this year, there was a hearing with regard to the repeal of the Road Traffic Act. The repeal was to allow the use of closed Public Roads for Motorsport events. This repeal came into effect yesterday, on the 2nd February. The Welsh Road Race had gained permissions previously, but the current change in legislation, has put the... the timescale of the event into jeopardy, as there will not be enough time to obtain the correct permissions now to permit the event. “We are working closely with the ACU, Crown Properties and Powys County Council to organise the Welsh Road Race, and under the new changes in legislation, the new deadlines that have been imposed, will make it very difficult to carry out a safe and successful event’, said Derek Smith, Managing Director of the Welsh Road Race. “The Board of Directors are absolutely devastated, for all the supporters and all concerned with the event. We have began steps to contact all our supporters and sponsors who are involved in the event.”

Yamaha XS250
the filters and the airboxes on the xs screw to the battery box via a strap and are hidden by the side panels.

pods are killer to CV carbs, they disrupt the airflow to raise the needles via diaphram. I'm on pods but had to use the "H" pipe to smooth airflow, not perfect. and at the least you'll need to up jet. its not easy and really should have it dyno'ed to dial it in. airboxes create perfect flow conditions for the carbs. by all means use a K&N in the airbox, but K&N stopped making them.

Yamaha XS250
could be timimg, check with strobe light. carbs could be blocked in the tiny galleries in there. should be getting 80 mph tops so its not too far away. run some fuel cleaner through, even using the bike will loosen it up a bit so it may be just that.

Power
yep, A freind had an Apprilia 125, she came round to my house saying it didn't sound right, no power. I tried it with choke and it ran worse. so I blipped the throttle to wide open and managed to red line it and all the crap came out. She the bike below 6k and basically the poor bike was 4 stroking. as it could'nt burn the fuel. Now she guns it everywhere

YBR 125 Fuel Cap stuck
maybe try and press down the cap whilst turning key so the "arms" jump the fuel tank ridges. (hard to describe) and press and turn the cap
