  1. I think its there to allow any excess under high revs to disperse. if you keep the bike upright, you can change the gasket no problem.

  14. no floats set the fuel level in the carbs. the petrol tap shuts off the fuel, that's why we have them.

  20. I'd be looking at the vacuum petrol tap, sounds clogged up too and not stopping the flow overnight when parked up!
  21. can be done and has been done. strangly the original jets are ok as the engine is a 180' crank so only one piston needs a charge of fuel in any given time.
