I think tommy and I were lucky to do it when we did, wasn't too busy and the weather was ok for us too (ie we didn't get soaked)

I know it smarts, but you were have had to do all that yourself. it wasn't the mechanics who broke it but the age of the bike etc. I did my tdm and it was the sme thing. I boke off 3 exhaust studs and had to drill them out, then the coolant pipe stuck in the head and then I lost the timing and it a pain with a 270' crank. its money vs time as always

Hi Bips, good to hear from you. Most of the gang are still here, missed a cracking meetup at Matlock. Tommy and I did the NC500 this year and picked some great weather. riding abroad is great (did spain last year with Tommy) although what France we did I though they were very ignorant and not very friendly

I don't tend to go shopping on the bike unless its a bike place with plenty of bikers around. Scotland trip big eFF-off chain and padlock to another bike

I'm not :D just the way it is, got a nice 12" scar though as the specialist has put in a super duper joint in as I do a bit of running. Just keep taking the Tramadol and protect the hip joint for now till bone cements the cup

checked earth? does the RR get hot? (it should do) I bough a mosfet and it heated up the stator wires, luckily I found it before any damage, put in a SHE650 and all was fine

be carefull with this "core" it can induce failure where the it ends inside the tube. As its just a main stand, not a critical failure though.

nothing in the UK, we get the arrows which, the more of them, the sharper the bend. this isn't fool proof where i've backed off and it was just a little wiggle in the road. maybe different at night though

pretty much what I do now. I havn't been on an advanced riding course (should do really) as I probably picked up some habits. I love the caveat, only go as fast as the corner will allow, great if you know the corner in question. Unknown blind corners with no tell tail marking I tend to take it easier. I tend to use the white lines to tell me how the road is, use other signs like railway tracks (roads tend to be 90' going under rail tunnels) and telegraph poles to plot the hidden road ahead.

PLease post in wated section for items( or off road for specific advice)
