I use a hydraulic cable oiler, those little things are not very useful as they depend on the propellant from a maintenance spray. I use proper oil in mine

Parts from the good 'ol US of A
I'd offer $50 as Postage will kill the deal. If you really want silencers, Sito from Italy (company in Scotland import them last time I looked) make them for the xs. I paid $25 canadian for an NOS rear guard a few years ago!

Drewps the part sleuth
Bought an NOS rear tail lamp bracket from Stafford for the Gilera, origin unknown. No markings on it, but, there were 2 bolts with the number 4 in the heads. Now I know Kawasaki number their bolts like that so it was a matter of using google images to find the correct one. turns out it was a z400 twin bracket, it suits the Gilera and is very close to the original, so I'm keeping it

What's your take on filtering along the outside of stationary or slow moving traffic?
I wouldn't have looked round, as maybe you might have been perceived of goading her! I remember going to Donnington and there was a line of traffic on the A500, 3 miles from Donnington. just passing the line of cars, but as there were so many bikes car drivers were deliberately opening their doors and shouting at us, twats!
